Foodie Penpals

Im soooo excited! 🙂 Ive signed up to be a Foodie Penpal starting next month (i missed this months deadline for submitting my name) *grins*

The idea originated in the US on The Lean Green Bean’s web site, and now food blooger Carol Anne up in Glasgow is hosting the UK/Europe one.

The idea is that “penpals send thoughtful, food related parcels, on or before the 20th of the month. The parcels can include home baked treats, shop bought treats (especially local or unusual things), cake cases or decorations – use your imagination. The parcel must include something hand written – a note explaining the box’s contents, a recipe card, whatever you like. The price limit for the boxes is £10 – this is a limit, the point is not the cost, but the thought (no, really!)”*

As someone who prefers to give than receive I’ve got so many ideas running round my head already that when i finally get my partners details i won’t know which ones to choose! Luckily you are encouraged to contact your “partner” to find out about likes, dislikes, allergies etc (thats handy) so some of my ideas might be out the window anyway!

Those of you who are Bookcrossers will be reminded of the NSSS’s 🙂

Will let you know when i get my first parcel (the idea is for participants to blog about what they got) and put up a link to the blogger who received my parcel.

Right, I’m off to make more lists lol 🙂
